Privacy policy

Last updated: September 2026. This is a courtesy translation; the German version is authoritative.

The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR, Austrian Data Protection Act – DSG, Austrian Telecommunications Act – TKG 2021). This privacy policy informs you about the most important aspects of data processing on our website.

1. Controller

kanQ FlexCo
Ebendorferstraße 6/10
1010 Vienna, Austria
FN 670324 x, Commercial Court of Vienna
Represented by the managing directors Thomas Müller and Herwig Teufelsdorfer
Email: info@kanQ.io

A data protection officer is not required under Art. 37 GDPR. Please send data protection enquiries to the email address above.

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is operated on the infrastructure of Wix.com Ltd., 40 Namal Tel Aviv St., Tel Aviv 6350671, Israel, and its European subsidiary Wix Online Platforms Limited, 1 Grant's Row, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Wix"). Wix is our processor under Art. 28 GDPR; a corresponding data processing agreement is in place. An adequacy decision of the European Commission exists for Israel; any further transfers to third countries are safeguarded by the EU standard contractual clauses.

When you access the website, information transmitted by your browser is automatically stored in server log files: IP address, date and time of the request, page accessed, referrer URL, browser type and version, and operating system. This data is technically necessary to deliver the website securely and reliably and to prevent abuse. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). Wix deletes or anonymises the log data after a short period and does not merge it with other data sources. Wix's privacy policy is available at wix.com/about/privacy.

3. Cookies and audience measurement

When you access the website, Wix sets only technically necessary cookies required for secure operation, protection against abuse and delivery of content. These cookies do not require consent (§ 165 (3) TKG 2021). We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking or analytics tools that track your behaviour across websites. For audience measurement we use Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia). Plausible works without cookies and without persistent identifiers, does not create user profiles and processes data exclusively on servers in the European Union. It records aggregated information such as pages visited, referring website, device type, browser and country; your IP address is not stored. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in privacy-friendly audience measurement (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Where we additionally use Google Search Console, this is done exclusively with aggregated, non-personal data. Your language selection (German/English) is stored only locally in your browser and is not transmitted to us.

4. Contact form and contact

If you contact us via the contact form, by email or by phone, we process the data you provide (name, company, email address, phone number, content of your enquiry) in order to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions. Submissions via the contact form are transmitted in encrypted form via Wix Forms; enquiries are stored in our Wix account and forwarded to us by email. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (initiation or performance of a contract) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). We retain this data for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry, but no longer than three years after the last contact, unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. § 132 Austrian Federal Fiscal Code: seven years) require otherwise. Data is not passed on to third parties.

5. Embedded videos

The product videos on this website are delivered directly from our hosting. No third-party video platforms (e.g. YouTube or Vimeo) are embedded; no data is therefore transmitted to third parties when playing them.

6. kanQ platform and cloud infrastructure (B2B)

Use of our platform by customers is governed by separate contractual agreements including a data processing agreement. We operate the platform on Microsoft Azure in the Germany West Central region (Frankfurt am Main). A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited. AI models are operated exclusively within this Azure environment; customer data is not used to train public models and does not leave the EU.

7. Data security

This website is delivered exclusively over a TLS-encrypted connection (https). We implement technical and organisational measures under Art. 32 GDPR to protect your data against loss, manipulation and unauthorised access.

8. Your rights

You have the rights of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. To do so, please contact info@kanQ.io.

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have otherwise been infringed, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, phone +43 1 52 152-0, email: dsb@dsb.gv.at, www.dsb.gv.at.

9. Changes

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy if the legal situation or our processing activities change. The version published on this page at the time applies.
